Warm Wax Therapy

Paraffin wax heat therapy increases blood flow and skin hydration whilst relaxing the muscles.  This therapy deeply moisturises and softens the skin and provides a therapeutic and healing effect for sore and aching joints.  It is particularly beneficial for those with very dry/fissured skin and those suffering from arthritis and rheumatic pain.

Following moisturisation, warm wax is applied to the feet using a brush providing a soothing, hygienic experience.

Conditions that benefit from therapeutic wax baths are:

  • Chilblains
  • Arthritis
  • Eczema & psoriasis
  • Sore muscles
  • Stiff joints
  • Poor circulation
  • Bursitis
  • Heel & arch pain,
  • Scar tissue
  • Inflammation
  • Muscle spasm
  • Tendonitis
  • Sports injury
  • Scleroderma
  • Plantar fasciitis

Warm wax therapy helps to dilate blood vessels encouraging increased blood flow to the affected area, helping to repair soft tissue, encourage muscle tone, and relax muscles contractions.  Warm wax therapy can also lessen the severity of pain symptoms.

Please note warm wax therapy is NOT SUITABLE for patients with diabetes, varicose veins or abnormalities , vascular disorders, broken or open skin wounds.  To discuss your suitability contact us at Feet Street Podiatry.
