Podiatric foot care including problem toenails

At your initial appointment a full assessment will be carried out. This ensures the podiatrist has a good understanding of your medical history (including any medications) and details of your foot/lower limb concerns.

All nails will be tidied and shaped and any nail problems for example thickened, discoloured or ingrown nails will be treated. Any corns or callus (hard skin) will be gently removed and advice will be provided on how to prevent future problems.

Your podiatrist will suggest a treatment plan to provide you with the best care and agree appointments to address your specific requirements.

If you suffer from diabetes you may find this service useful, as you may have been advised not to cut your nails yourself but may find it difficult to access footcare through the NHS.
